I've had this thing for almost a year and have probably used this spinning reel on over 30 fishing trips since purchase. I fish saltwater exclusively on the Texas gulf coast. In the time I've had this reel, it has been dunked at least 3 times. Each time it was immediately disassembled and cleaned. One year later and this reel is still kicking.
